Controls very fast response, fast action and I think it is not recommended to be the first game you try with your helmets because it can disappoint the rest. I was sitting down at work about three days ago, thinking to myself "I just want a shooter that makes absolutely no sense. Something where you're flying around, shooting people and stuff"--This is the exact type of game I was thinking about.No body was playing when I was playing, but even just playing with bots was AMAZING. One of the best movement systems, and refreshing compared too the influx of non gravity movement.Oval is a game to fill the fast paced arcady shooter, a change of pace from the slower first person shooters out there.. I am in no way an expert on VR multiplayer (played Arizona Sunshine, Raw Data, Payday2 and some others), but I can see what makes this one unique. The locomotion system does exactly what the game description says. You are able to move at high speeds, peform jumps, mid-air corrections and epic landings without feeling any of the kind of motion sickness you'd expect. According to the devs, it's related to your brain anticipating the directions and intensity of those movements, sort of like the fact you can't tickle yourself etc. Whether this is the case, the truth is that it works, and lets you navigate the arenas with something much more fluid than a teleport.Gameplay-wise, I can see that it's an early access game, but the core gameplay seems to be extremely polished. Rather than making a mediocre game with a ton of content, it's obvious the effort has been put in making a fun game that is very playable and has the potential to have more content added later on. Probably a wise idea that will pay off in the long run.I have played quite a few matches, and the "capture the orb" type of gameplay mixed with that old-school deathmatch feeling just works for me. The game has a very unusual but cool 3D crosshair that makes aiming at long distances something feasable and ultimately satisfactory.. At this stage there is nothing to recommend about Oval. Wow this game is absolutly wonderful. The controls take a little while to understand but once you have them the game play reminds me of Halo! I was having fun the entire time I was playing and this is automatically going into my top of my favorite games! The only suggestion I would have is to try to make the level creation a little easier to understand. This was is going to be huge though! Great job devs you guys have something really amazing here!. plays kinda like tribes and haloso far really i like ithas native oculus SDK supporthas bots to fill in the player count!. Amazing game! Even in the actual Early Access state the game has a lot more to offer than most of the other VR games out there.Really looking forward for all the new content! I know you can trust the developers as they are being really communicative and responsive during the beta. I really enjoyed Oval while i was able to play it, the movement system is really fluid and the gameplay is challenging and intense. I got to play Oval on a free weekend, but i no longer have access to the game and can't purchase it in Australia.
